Bailey Love, Founder & Lead Teacher
Hello! I’m Bailey, founder and lead teacher at Chicory School and a mother of two young kids. My greatest mission in life is to honor and nurture the wild spirit of children through gentle guidance and outdoor education. I’ve seen firsthand in my parenting, studies, and work that all children are naturally born learners; they just need a supportive, nurturing environment to do it.
After over a decade of working with children in traditional and alternative settings alongside studying Child Development at CSUEB, I brought my homeschool mindset and years of experience to the trails of Ashland, Oregon at Chicory School. My approach is rooted in the belief that when kids are given space to explore, play, and connect with both the natural world and a consistent community of friends and teachers, they can become confident, capable, creative humans.
At Chicory School, I am dedicated to nurturing every child’s passions and honoring the innate curiosity within. Learning and connecting with children in a community-focused space is where I find my joy, and I can’t wait to witness the magic that unfolds this upcoming school year.
